One month ago, on January 21st, Logan came into the world. Wow, what a month of learning, lack of sleep, surprise, and frustration.

Well, I have never imagined what this would be like. Actually, I figured it would be not such a big deal in some ways. Look, my new baby, go back to work, yadda-yadda. Quickly I have realized, that is not the case. As I stood there next to Mary after 14 hours of watching her struggling thru the pains of labor and the fears of going thru child birth, I watched my son Logan come into this world. First his head, then his shoulders, and then they told me to come over and meet my son. There is no way to describe what that was like in mere words.

Santa brought me, I mean us a nice new camera for taking pictures of our up and coming Baby Mullins. We felt it was time to step it up a notch, and become geek parents. However, Mary has told me that it seems I went even a little bit farther. But I do not agree, a lot of people walk around the house taking pictures of the salt and pepper shakers. The light from the TV was hitting it just right, and it called to me.

I wasn't really sure what to expect with Peter Jackson's new alien movie, District 9. Many movies and TV series have been made within this subject, so what will make this one stand out? I don't want to spoil too much for those who might want to see it, so I will proceed with utmost caution.

Bok Towers is located in Lake Wells, Florida on the Bok Sanctuary about an hour and a half drive from our house. While most of Florida is flat, Lake Wells is located in a nice little area of hills and orange groves, and upon the higest spot in Florida,Iron Mountain stands Bok Tower.

The santuary includes the Bok Tower, a large botanical garden, the estate, and some trails. The tower is the centerpiece of the area and stands 205 feet tall. It houses a 60 bell carillon that plays music durning the day. The tower is surounded by a moat that flows into a pond with Koi.
